Our account models are based on account usage. Therefore, they differ, among other things, in the number of transaction entries included in the monthly base fee.
Here's how to determine the number of transaction entries you have to decide which account model is best for you:
Total all transaction entries in the transaction overview in your online banking or on your account statements for one month – mainly credits, direct debits, standing orders, payments with the of €10.00 or more (including contactless payments, via smartphone or smartwatch).
Online transfers, payments with the of less than 10,00 Euro, and cash withdrawals at Sparkasse-ATMs are not considered transaction entries; these are always free of charge!

If you're considering a low-cost account with fewer transaction entries included in the base price, here's a tip for reducing the number of transaction entries:
Pay by credit card as often as possible. This is possible not only online but also in a growing number of local stores. Here, the total amount of your credit card payments is debited from your checking account once a month, creating a single transaction.
On each monthly statement, you will find the name of your account model, the monthly base rate, and the total monthly rate. Depending on the account model, the prices for transaction entries and refunds are also listed.
